Medieval Style Halloween Costumes
It can be very fun to dress up in a medieval Halloween costume. There were many significant heroes throughout the days of medieval society and dressing up like one can be very rewarding. You’ll get to play out your fantasy without ever having to do battle with another medieval warrior.
At times it can be very difficult to successfully dress up in a medieval costume. Medieval costumes can be quite elaborate and it can be hard to get all the parts of the costume to look realistic. Also finding realistic looking costumes can be a very difficult task. I wrote this article to give you some strategies you can use to find a great looking medieval style costume. You’ll even learn where to go to buy a nice medieval costume online.
The first thing you’ll need to do is identify what kind of medieval costume you want to wear. Wearing an ancient Greek armor is much different than wearing a set of Gothic battle armor. If you plan on walking around a lot in your costume, I would suggest you choose a medieval costume that does not have a lot of weight to it. For example, choosing to dress up like a gladiator would give you the option of wearing less, or simply a breastplate and helmet. Helmets, work at concealing your face and weapons and breastplates complete the look quite easily.
If you only have a few lightweight items completing your entire costume, you won’t need to concern yourself with the weight of them. Weapons that are carried to the party can be put down on tables and chairs close by to where you are relaxing.
If your going to be in one spot all night, you could choose something heavier to wear. Suggestions would be full battle armor or long robed outfits. For instance, you might want to wear a long brown robe to simulate the ancient monks. You’ll find that tripping on the robe is not an issue when you are simply sitting in one place all night.
Medieval costumes can be found at historicalclothingrealm.com. This web site has all sorts of medieval items for you to choose from. You can also look at items from some of the historically significant wars. You’ll just want to be sure that you do not attend an old world war 2 veterans house party while wearing an enemy world war 2 uniform. Ensuring the people around you have fun is just as important as making sure you have fun as well.
